समाज मानविकी में article metadata को scholarly visibility, indexing, citation, archiving और discoverability का महत्वपूर्ण आधार माना जाता है। Metadata वह structured information है जिसके माध्यम से article को search engines, indexing services, repositories, libraries और readers पहचानते हैं।
सही metadata journal की credibility और article की reach दोनों को मजबूत करता है।
प्रत्येक article के लिए journal निम्न metadata उपलब्ध कराने का प्रयास करेगी: हिंदी title, English title, author names, affiliation, email, ORCID ID यदि उपलब्ध हो, हिंदी abstract, English abstract, हिंदी keywords, English keywords, article type, publication date, volume, issue, year, page range या article number, references, license, DOI यदि उपलब्ध हो, और article URL.
Authors submission के समय OJS metadata fields सावधानी से भरें। गलत spelling, अधूरा affiliation, missing abstract, weak keywords या inconsistent author names indexing में समस्या पैदा कर सकते हैं।
Corresponding author metadata की accuracy के लिए जिम्मेदार होगा।
क्योंकि समाज मानविकी हिंदी language journal है, इसलिए English metadata विशेष रूप से महत्वपूर्ण है। English title, abstract और keywords article को broader academic readership तक पहुँचाते हैं। Authors को machine translation पर निर्भर रहने के बजाय English metadata को carefully edit करना चाहिए।
Author names consistent रूप में लिखे जाने चाहिए। यदि author ORCID ID रखता है, तो उसे submission में शामिल करना चाहिए। ORCID author identification, citation tracking और scholarly profile linking में सहायता करता है।
Affiliation में department, institution, city, state और country स्पष्ट होना चाहिए। उदाहरण:

Independent researcher होने पर author “Independent Researcher, City, Country” लिख सकता है।
Keywords article के subject और method को accurately represent करें। बहुत सामान्य keywords जैसे “शिक्षा”, “समाज” या “शोध” अकेले पर्याप्त नहीं हैं। Specific keywords article searchability बढ़ाते हैं।

जहाँ OJS या indexing system अनुमति देता है, references को structured metadata के रूप में जमा किया जा सकता है। References की accuracy citation linking, DOI discovery और indexing quality के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।
Fake references या unverifiable references publication ethics issue बन सकते हैं।
यदि journal DOI assign करती है, तो article metadata DOI registration agency के format के अनुसार तैयार किया जाएगा। DOI metadata में article title, authors, publication date, journal title, volume, issue, URL, references, license और funding information शामिल हो सकती है।
यदि publication के बाद metadata error मिलता है, जैसे author name spelling, affiliation error, title error, abstract issue या DOI mismatch, तो author editorial office से correction request कर सकता है। Metadata corrections article discoverability के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं और उन्हें सावधानी से किया जाएगा।
Journal article metadata को indexing agencies, repositories, DOI services, libraries और scholarly discovery platforms के साथ साझा कर सकती है। यह sharing article visibility और academic access को बढ़ाने के लिए की जाएगी।
