समाज मानविकी की विश्वसनीयता उसके editorial independence पर आधारित है। Journal में manuscript acceptance, rejection, revision, correction और retraction से संबंधित निर्णय केवल scholarly merit, journal scope, ethical compliance, peer review reports और editorial assessment के आधार पर लिए जाएंगे।
Publisher, sponsor, advertiser, author, institution, donor या external authority को editorial decision-making पर अनुचित प्रभाव डालने की अनुमति नहीं होगी।
Editor-in-Chief, assigned editors और editorial board journal की academic दिशा, manuscript screening, peer review process, ethical assessment और final publication decisions के लिए उत्तरदायी होंगे। Publisher administrative और technical support प्रदान कर सकता है, लेकिन manuscript-level editorial decisions में हस्तक्षेप नहीं करेगा।
Editorial decisions निम्न आधारों पर लिए जाएंगे: manuscript की मौलिकता, विषयगत प्रासंगिकता, research design, argument quality, data integrity, literature engagement, clarity of writing, ethical compliance, reviewer feedback और journal’s focus and scope.
लेखक की जाति, धर्म, लिंग, भाषा, क्षेत्र, nationality, institution, designation, ideology, personal relationship या financial condition decision का आधार नहीं बन सकती।
यदि किसी manuscript के संबंध में external pressure, recommendation, institutional influence, financial inducement या personal request प्राप्त होता है, तो editorial office उसे decision-making का आधार नहीं बनाएगा। ऐसे प्रयासों को आवश्यक होने पर editorial record में note किया जा सकता है।
Publisher journal infrastructure, website, OJS management, archiving, communication और publication support का प्रबंध कर सकता है। लेकिन publisher किसी article को प्रकाशित करने या रोकने का निर्देश editorial board को नहीं देगा।
यदि editor का किसी manuscript से व्यक्तिगत, professional, financial, institutional या academic हित-संघर्ष है, तो वह manuscript handling से अलग होगा। ऐसे मामलों में independent editor को manuscript सौंपा जाएगा।
Editorial board members journal में अपना manuscript जमा कर सकते हैं, लेकिन ऐसे manuscripts की review process independent editor द्वारा संचालित की जाएगी। संबंधित board member review, decision और internal discussion से अलग रहेगा।
Correction, expression of concern या retraction से जुड़े decisions भी editorial independence के आधार पर लिए जाएंगे। ऐसे decisions evidence, publication ethics और scholarly record की reliability पर आधारित होंगे।
Journal अपनी policies, editorial board, publisher details, contact information, publication frequency और fee status website पर प्रदर्शित करेगी ताकि readers और authors journal की governance structure को समझ सकें।
