समाज मानविकी समय-समय पर ऐसे विशेषांक प्रकाशित कर सकती है जो सामाजिक विज्ञान, मानविकी, शिक्षा, मनोविज्ञान, संस्कृति, नीति, भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा या अंतर्विषयी अध्ययन के किसी महत्वपूर्ण विषय पर केंद्रित हों। Special issue का उद्देश्य किसी emerging, neglected या significant academic theme पर गंभीर scholarly discussion को आगे बढ़ाना है।
Special issue journal की सामान्य publication ethics, peer review, plagiarism, authorship, AI use, copyright और open access policies के अधीन होगा।
Special issue प्रस्ताव editorial board को भेजा जा सकता है। प्रस्ताव में theme, rationale, scope, proposed guest editor यदि कोई हो, expected article types, tentative timeline और possible contributors का संकेत शामिल होना चाहिए।
Proposal acceptance publication guarantee नहीं है। Editorial board theme की scholarly relevance, feasibility, ethical clarity और journal scope से संबंध देखकर निर्णय लेगा।
Special issue के लिए guest editor नियुक्त किया जा सकता है। Guest editor को विषय विशेषज्ञता, academic credibility, editorial responsibility और conflict of interest standards का पालन करना होगा।
Guest editor manuscript solicitation, preliminary screening और reviewer suggestions में सहयोग कर सकता है, लेकिन final editorial decision Editor-in-Chief या journal editorial authority के पास रहेगा।
Special issue में submitted manuscripts भी सामान्य peer review process से गुजरेंगे। Guest editor या invited status के कारण manuscript को automatic acceptance नहीं मिलेगा। यदि guest editor का किसी manuscript से हित-संघर्ष है, तो वह उस manuscript की handling से अलग रहेगा।
Special issue manuscripts में plagiarism, duplicate publication, fake data, manipulated references, undisclosed AI use या authorship misconduct स्वीकार्य नहीं होगा। सभी authors को journal की publication ethics और submission policies का पालन करना होगा।
यदि special issue open call के माध्यम से आयोजित किया जाता है, तो call में theme, scope, submission deadline, expected publication timeline, language requirement, article types और review process स्पष्ट रूप से बताया जाएगा।
Call में किसी प्रकार की guaranteed publication या fast-track acceptance का दावा नहीं किया जाएगा।
Special issue की timeline realistic होनी चाहिए। Peer review, revision, copyediting और proofing के लिए पर्याप्त समय दिया जाएगा। केवल deadline पूरा करने के लिए कमजोर articles प्रकाशित नहीं किए जाएंगे।
प्रत्येक special issue में एक editorial introduction या theme note प्रकाशित किया जा सकता है। इसमें special issue की background, theme relevance, article overview और field contribution बताया जा सकता है।
यदि पर्याप्त गुणवत्तापूर्ण manuscripts प्राप्त नहीं होते, peer review में गंभीर issues आते हैं या editorial standards पूरे नहीं होते, तो journal special issue को postpone या cancel कर सकता है।
